This small bilingual guide shall assist you when you have to present your own library, institution or organisation to guests from abroad.
The book offers short proposals how to welcome the guests and how to organ-ize a tour through the organisation, supplemented by a list of basic profes-sional terms and a glossary with the up to date terms of international library management.
The book suggests ideas how to prepare for the visit and organize it. It helps to avoid panic and enables a free and friendly discussion under colleagues. It helps as well to present guests from abroad the library as an efficient organi-zation as well to prepare a presentation of the library during an international conference. A list of the necessary terms of librarianship and library manage-ment is also included.
